Our favourite instagrammer this week is Abi from @thesefourwallsblog! Abi's feed is full of minimal moments and muted colours, icy blue skies, interior shots and glimpses of architecture. We were drawn to the tones and style of Abi's feed that fits together so nicely!
Abi has a lovely blog with lots of yummy recipies and great style posts! She has also featured a few of our Bath & Body products in a lovely post, which you can read here!
Read our chat with Abi and find out about how she edits her photos, her inspirations and who to follow!
1. Describe your style in 5 words:
Clean, calm, muted, minimal and peaceful.
2. What are the tools you use to create your feed? (Do you snap on your iPhone? Perhaps you use an app to filter first?)
I snap on my iPhone 6 or my Nikon D7200, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. I mainly edit using VSCO Cam, but nothing major - I just increase the contrast or tone down the colours here and there. I like images to look as natural as possible and not over-processed.
3. Who or what inspires you?
I'm constantly inspired by travel and exploring new places, but also by little moments in everyday life - a flash of morning sunlight, an interesting pattern. I also find the wider Instagram community incredibly inspiring - it's full of creative, supportive people, and I love logging on and seeing the world through others' eyes.
4. If you had an extra hour in the day what would you do?
More blogging and more photography! I work full-time at the moment, but I'd love to have more hours to focus on my passion for words, images and design. It never feels like a chore, and my head is constantly brimming with ideas.
5. What's your personal motto?
Everything will work out in the end. I'm a big believer in throwing caution to the wind and taking a chance - even if things don't go to plan, you'll learn something new along the way.
6. Who else should we follow on Instagram? Who's your top three?
Oooh that's a tough one, as there are so many talented Instagrammers out there! I love the striking simplicity of @emilievancamp, and the nature photography of @thatcornishbird, who sees details that others would miss. I'm also a huge fan of @thefuturekept, which is run by husband-and-wife team Jeska and Dean Hearne - the way they capture changing light is beautiful.
Thank you so much, Abi! We just love your photography and think you should all go and follow her!
