Plum & Ashby

Wonderful Wimbledon - it's not all about tennis!

With Wimbledon round the corner, we thought we'd head across London and see what's great about Wimbledon, looking further than the championships which highlight the area for two weeks a year!

Wimbledon Village

One of our favourite places, Wimbledon Village houses a great array of shops from high end boutiques to charity shops, hidden with gems. You will also find a great mix of home, interior and antique shops for good measure, along with trendy restaurants and pubs.

Visit Two Sisters Home and you're find some Plum & Ashby, Aubaine for brunch and take your pup into dog friendly Hand in Hand for dinner.

Wimbledon Common & Windmill Museum

Outdoor spaces are great in London and they get even better the further out you go! Famed for the home of the Wombles, Wimbledon Common, covers just over an acre of space and comes complete with it's own Grade II Listed, 1871 windmill and museum!

With a family ticket (2 adults and 4 children) costing only £5, we recommend taking a trip, it's not something you find every day in London and is the best place to pick up those Womble souvenirs!

New Wimbledon Theatre & Centre Court (no not that one!)

The eighth largest theatre in London, New Wimbledon Theatre has been apart of Wimbledon since 1910. Playing host to musicals, ballets, operas, pantomines and plays, there's something always on that captures the imagination and makes it a great place to spend an evening or two.

In homage the great sporting venue up the road, Wimbledon's main shopping centre, Centre Court, houses all the high street brands. If you're looking for a great department store, close by Elys offers everything you need!

So if you're just heading for the Championships or for a day trip, don't forget to look further than the courts!
