Another week and another amazing instagram account, we are so lucky to be able to see such beautiful imagery with just a few taps on our phones or computers. We think it is a joy!
It was so hard to choose just a few images for this weeks favourite instagrammer feature because each one of @meandorla’s images have such a beautiful light and intriguing stories to tell – we just can’t get enough! Make sure you visit her blog, too, for some good advice to make your instagram feed that bit more special! Hear what Sara had to share about how she takes her photos, her honest but inspiring motto for everyday and who else’s visual stories we should be exploring on Instagram…
Describe your style in 5 words
Romantic, simple, natural, organic & true
What are the tools you use to create your feed?
I take all my photos with the iPhone native camera, and then edit in VSCOcam. I tend to head for the tools first and apply any crops or colour-correction, then apply a preset last.
Who or what inspires you?
My favourite photographers and Instagrammers, the world around me, my family and home. I've always seen pictures when I listen to my favourite music like a running music video in my mind, so sometimes I'm inspired enough to go out and create whatever I imagined.
If you had an extra hour in the day what would you do?
Nap. I know I should say organise my hard drive or get to the bottom of my inbox, but if it was truly extra, I'd steal it for sleep!
What is your personal motto?
Pretty much anything from an Ani Difranco song! My current fave is "if you're not getting happier as you get older then you're f*cking up". It seems to be a good measure of whether I'm on the right track or not.
Who else should we follow on instagram? Who's your top three?
My total favourite is @rrrroza. She's just amazing! Closely followed by my Parisian friend @cecilemoli, and the amazing @mimi_brune.
Thanks so much for your time and lovely answers, Sara! Go and take a peek at @meandorla for an absolute treat for your eyes!
