How to get the most out of your reed diffuser

Diffuser season is in full swing and nothing beats the perfect practical solution for constant home fragrance.
A reed diffuser soaks up the fragrance oil through the reeds and disperses the scent into the air, meaning you don’t have to keep an eye on them, or really do very much once set up! Since our re-brand last year, we now include two sets of reeds with every diffuser, as well as offering larger refill bottles with reeds. It’s so important to buy quality reed diffusers as reeds can get easily clogged, limiting the scent throw.

Today we wanted to share with you our top tips for getting the most out of your diffusers.
diffuser location1. Location
To get the most impact from your reed diffuser, we recommend placing it in a hallway or an entrance to a room. The air circulation created by movement in and out of the space helps disperse the aroma. Make sure it’s up high enough that children and pets can’t get to it and do not place it near an open window or radiator. Think of the diffuser as a bouquet of flowers – you’ll smell the fragrance as you walk by.

2. Fuller Fragrance
If you want a stronger fragrance, add all the reeds and flip them more frequently. We recommend once a month for optimal scenting. The more reeds you use, the more fragrance gets dispersed. By flipping them every week the oil will travel up the reed again giving you a fresher, fuller fragrance. Remember to flip the reeds over a sink in case any oil drips out.
changing the reeds
 3. Changing the oil / reeds
When you need to refill your oil, it’s better to completely clean out the vessel and let it dry before filling it back up. Make sure fresh oil gets fresh reeds too! It will smell as good as new.

To coincide with our rebrand in 2021, we increased our diffuser refills to 200ml meaning you can refill your vessel twice. We also include two new sets of reeds so you can make the most out of your diffuser for months and months.
